Flowers are the obvious choice for a Valentine’s Day gift. In this week’s video, I give a few tips for making your floral gift personal, memorable and romantic. Choosing flowers based on their meaning is one way to make the bouquet sentimental. Venturing away from the traditional rose by asking your florist which single color they have available in lots of different flowers is another. Or purchase a simple, sleek vase from Crate & Barrel and add a bouquet of one elegant flower, like tulips or calla lilies. Crate & Barrel’s Brooklyn Long Vase ($29.95) is a great choice of vase if you want to give the gift of roses without a hefty price tag. You can fill the vase with pebbles and citrus leaves, then add a string of rose buds across the top, as demonstrated in our video. If you’re not in the mood for DIY, just drop off the vase at your local florist and have them design the arrangement.
