We were all bouncing around the winery last Thursday like kids on Christmas morning. “Is it time yet? Is it time yet? Are they here? Are they here?” Our excited voices echoed down the hallways.

The first-ever Jordan Estate Tour & Tasting was about to begin. This is a passion project that almost every employee–literally–has been involved with on some level since last winter. The maiden tour was sold out with 12 guests, and we snapped a photo of the group with John Jordan and host Claire Smith (center) to capture this moment in Jordan history.

This innovative tasting experience has been anticipated for several months, and we’re already seeing a lot of great press and reviews, including mentions in Food & Wine, 7×7, LATimes.com, Fodors.com and About.com, to name a few. I created a little word cloud (above) from Wordle.net with some highlights of what people are saying. Jordan was just named one of the 25 best wineries to visit in Sonoma County by Food & Wine (and one of the 75 best in California),and Fodors.com called Jordan, “the best view of the Alexander Valley.” Check out all the stories on our News Highlights page or see our official news release.

We don’t want to give away all the surprises of our new visitor experience, but we can say that it’s unlike anything offered in wine country. A three-hour excursion across 1,200 picturesque acres of land to savor Jordan wines, food and hospitality with breathtaking views of lakes, vineyards, mountains, wildlife and more–what are you waiting for? Request a reservation today. The Jordan Estate Tour & Tasting is offered Thursdays through Mondays and only until mid-November this year, so we hope you’ll visit us soon. Next year, we’ll be open for our first full season of the Estate Tour, from mid-April through mid-November.

In the meantime, feast your eyes on these Estate Tour & Tasting photos.
