To commemorate 40 years of winemaking legacy in 2012, John Jordan is hosting Giving Back at Jordan, an unprecedented event with Causes on Saturday, June 2, from 3 to 6:30 p.m. We hope you’ll join us for this special benefit supporting three Bay Area charities: Muttville Senior Dog RescueMeals on Wheels of San Francisco and Spark Program.

These charities were chosen because they focus on causes near and dear to John’s heart: animal welfare, food programs for citizens in need and educational services for at-risk children. Every year, John hosts festive fundraising dinners at the winery each benefiting a single charity, and we thought it would be fun to try a new format for our largest charity initiative of the year: a walk-around wine and food tasting event, which will allow more guests to attend and more charities to benefit from our collective goodwill.

Utilizing Causes’s innovative online platform, individuals interested in supporting these causes can select which charity benefits from their donation—and receive one ticket to the event for every $75 donated. Jordan is donating all goods and services to the event (wine, food, staffing, etc.), so that 100% of every ticket donation goes to the charities. Also, 100% of the ticket price is tax-deductible, and donors will receive a thank you letter acknowledging their donation that can be used for tax purposes. Since its inception, San Francisco-based Causes has helped raise more than $40 million for charity.

Don’t wait until spring to book your tickets, as the event will sell out. We hope to see you there!
