Join us this Wednesday for a live video chat and exclusive new release tasting online with our winemaker and John Jordan in honor of Jordan Winery’s 40th anniversary–and John Jordan’s 40th birthday. Our anniversary-birthday date is Friday, May 25, 2012, so we’re hosting the tasting on Wednesday, May 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. EST to help kick-off your Memorial Day weekend.

You can watch and ask questions via chat right here on the blog–just click the word CHAT on the bottom of the video player above. Once the chat box is live, just type a question and click the blue “SAY” button. You’ll be asked to provide a nickname, but you don’t need to create a LiveStream account. You may also log-in with your Facebook or Twitter accounts to chat. You can also participate from our LiveStream channel. If you’re using wireless internet, we recommend clicking the MEDIUM or LOW quality button next to CHAT on the video player above to ensure quicker streaming of video.

Listen to historical stories, inquire about that older vintage of Jordan Cabernet resting in your cellar, uncork a bottle of Jordan wine and ask the winemaker questions while you taste. They’ll be tasting four wines live: 2008 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon, 2007 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon, 2010 Jordan Chardonnay and 2009 Jordan Chardonnay–offering an intriguing comparison of our newest vintages.

Our friends at Wine.com have created a special Jordan Winery page to make it easy for you to order any of these wines. (If you live in California, the new releases aren’t available at Wine.com just yet, but you can purchase them at http://store.jordanwinery.com/.)

If you have library vintages of Jordan in your cellar, all vintages are welcome and will be celebrated! Uncork that special bottle with us and toast to the holiday weekend and our birthday. This is great opportunity to ask Rob and John any questions you might have about our winemaking practices, history and wines–or baseball, triathlons, aviation and Star Wars. (We love our hobbies here at Jordan.)

Want a reminder so you don’t forget to grab a glass and log-on this Wednesday? Just RSVP on our Jordan 40 Live eventbrite page. You’ll receive a reminder and can also conveniently add the event to your calendar.
