Co-workers often feel like family in the wine business. That’s what makes saying farewell to a team member so hard.
Jordan’s National Sales Director Chris Avery is leaving next month for a new opportunity in Napa Valley. We are embracing this bittersweet change and building on the momentum of the Jordan brand through a new sales organizational structure. The Jordan sales division will be broken into three geographical territories, and a new National Sales Director has been appointed to lead both the U.S. sales team and our export business.
Southeast Regional Sales Director Emmanuel Padilla has been promoted to National Sales Director, replacing Chris. Padilla joined Jordan in 2011 after several years in wine distribution and restaurant management. He will oversee Jordan’s Regional Sales Directors, all export business (including cruise lines and duty free), as well as the sales department staff at the winery. Based in the Mid-Atlantic, he will continue to manage distributors and accounts in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Northeast Regional Sales Director Ashley Cesario is now Regional Sales Director, Eastern U.S. In addition to her existing territory—Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Delaware—she will also oversee West Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. Based in Boston, she continues to manage Jordan’s Eastern Canada sales as well.
Midwest Regional Sales Director Brad Butcher is now Regional Sales Director, Central U.S. In addition to his existing territory—Texas, New Mexico, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota—he will also manage Louisiana, Kentucky, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado. Based in Chicago, Brad continues to oversee Jordan’s business in West Canada and will assist Padilla in supervising the Western U.S. territory during this transition.
Western Regional Sales Director Nick Holmes becomes Regional Sales Director, Western U.S., with the addition of Nevada and Arizona to his existing territory, which includes California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii. Nick is based in Southern California.
“We are confident this new structure of three major territories allows our team to efficiently and effectively manage the sales of our singular Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon,” says John Jordan, CEO of Jordan Vineyard & Winery. “The strength of these products—and the dedication of our sales team, our distributors and our customers—helped us achieve both the top recognition in both the Wine & Spirits Restaurant Poll and Wine Enthusiast Wine Star Awards this year.”
The Jordan sales team looks forward to seeing you at a winemaker dinner or tasting in your neighborhood.
